Position Summary
The Senior Family Law Attorney is an experienced practitioner responsible for independently managing a full caseload of domestic relations matters from engagement through resolution. The position carries primary responsibility for client representation, litigation strategy, and courtroom advocacy in assigned matters, and serves as a senior practice resource to paralegals and support staff. The Senior Family Law Attorney upholds the firm’s standards of client service, ethical practice, and professional excellence, and supports the Managing Partner in maintaining the quality and profitability of the family law practice.
Requirements
um Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.
Minimum of five (5) years of family law practice experience, including substantial courtroom and contested litigation experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in Georgia domestic relations law, procedure, and child support guidelines.
Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
Professional demeanor and demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and client care.
Preferred Qualifications
Seven (7) or more years of family law experience, including complex property division or high-conflict custody matters.
Registered mediator (Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution) or guardian ad litem training.
Experience with cloud-based case management platforms (MyCase, Clio, or similar) and Microsoft 365.
Established professional presence in the Douglas County and/or Fulton County legal community.
