Responsibilities

Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs
Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand health histories, current conditions, and treatment goals
Communicate clearly with clients about their treatment plans, comfort levels, and post-session care instructions
Maintain detailed records of each session, including treatment notes and client progress
Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols such as CPR certification requirements
Educate clients on pain management strategies and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing health benefits
Collaborate with team members to develop personalized treatment plans that address specific concerns like sports injuries or chronic pain
Experience

Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist or current enrollment in an accredited massage therapy program for externship candidates
Proven experience in providing various massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and sports massage
Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly
Familiarity with medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health and pain management
Prior experience working in medical spas or occupational health settings is a plus
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to build trust and ensure client satisfaction
