The Interior Health Authority in the Interior of British Columbia in Canada has some

The Interior region of British Columbia in Canada offers a four-season playground with a
wide range of recreation and outdoor adventure activities including golfing, camping,
canoeing, hiking and biking in summer. Winter offers endless snowshoeing,
snowmobiling, and both downhill and cross-country skiing.


Acute care communication and swallowing with inpatient/outpatient patients. Areas
covered are ICU, general surgical, neurosurgical, medical, rehab, stroke unit, trauma, and
psychiatry. Patient populations include stroke, trauma, TBI, dementia, degenerative
neurological disorders, respiratory, critical care, head, and neck cancer. Speech-Language
Pathologists (SLPs) collaborate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to add
to the patient’s care, and they offer in-services to nursing staff and rehab colleagues. Our
hospitals offer mentorship to obtain advanced competencies and opportunities for
stretch projects or assignments.

Requirements

Qualifications

Registration as a Speech-language Pathologist with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC.

One year’s clinical experience with adults in a hospital setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. New grads are also welcome to apply.

Valid BC Driver’s license where required.

Certified practice in MSB and/or FEES as outlined by the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professions of BC are an asset.
