Relocation Support

- Intrastate (Over 100kms) - up to $2,500
- Interstate - up to $5,000
- Overseas - up to $8,000 (applicants need suitable rights to work in Australia)

- 10 weeks interim GVH Accommodation (if available)
About your new role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and team centered Senior Hand Therapist to join our team in a full-time, fixed term role until December of 2026 covering our teams parental leave cover. You will provide expertise within the hand therapy services, through ongoing development and provision of services and ensure that our team is delivering high quality care and performing as effective as possible.
Working in a key leadership role, you will also supervise appropriate junior Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff who undertake hand therapy interventions, and to ensure professional development for our diverse workforce is achieved.
Whether you come from a Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy background, you will have the opportunity to work as part of our broader Allied Health team, and work with a committed and passionate team.

Requirements
Mandatory requirements include:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a physiotherapist or occupational therapist
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
About you:
- Extensive clinical experience and expert knowledge regarding evidence-based hand therapy service provision
- Sound understanding of contemporary professional practice in hand therapy, including person-centred care, optimising patient outcomes and safe clinical practice
- Robust understanding of the clinical supervision process and experience in the provision of mentoring, coaching, and supervision of clinicians, including more junior
- Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy staff and students
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate clinical outcomes and monitor service delivery including relevant KPIs
- Experience in developing competencies, procedures and guidelines for the ongoing development of the hand therapy clinic
- Proven ability to effectively manage and negotiate innovative solutions to complex problems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external providers at all levels
Other desirable experience:
- Minimum 7 years clinical experience as a physiotherapist or occupational therapist in relevant healthcare settings
- Relevant post graduate study in Hand Therapy Practice (or working towards)
- Membership of relevant associations such as Australian Hand Therapy Association, Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) or Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA)
- Previous participation in clinical research activities
- Proficiency in a language other than English
