The ideal candidate will not be responsible for setting the overarching strategy but will play a crucial role in implementing the tactics that support Globalaw's mission and enhance its reputation as a prestigious non-profit global network of law firms.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Administration
Plan and manage Globalaw conferences with the goal of bringing together members from all regions, fostering professional and personal relationships, providing a forum to exchange ideas, attract new members, and launch new projects.
Events typically include two regional meetings, an annual meeting, a board meeting, and an officer's retreat.
Analysis of and recommendation for locations, meeting hosts, strategic partners, and social events.
Event budgeting, resourcing, and procurement (initial and updated).
Develop and issue correspondence, communications, and social media in support of meetings and events.
Develop and manage the registration process, including payment, invoicing, hotel support, and other support to registrants.
Manage vendor relationships, including hotels, venues, food / beverage, AV, and other meeting vendors.
Identify and manage sponsor relationships.
Prepare meeting materials.
Provide on-site support and post-event follow up.
Evaluate and make recommendations as to meeting insurance and other risk management techniques.
Event Promotion:
Work closely with the events team to market conferences, seminars, and webinars.
Develop and implement promotional campaigns to maximize attendance and participation by member firms and their clients.
Implementation of Marketing Strategies:
Execute marketing plans developed by the senior leadership to promote Globalaw's services, events, and initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams and member firms to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with the overall objectives and brand standards of Globalaw.
Manage the production of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, presentations, newsletters, and promotional items, ensuring they are of high quality and distributed effectively.
Digital Communications:
Oversee the maintenance and content updates for the Globalaw website, ensuring that it serves as an effective tool for communication and member engagement.
Manage Globalaw's social media profiles, creating and curating content that engages audiences and increases visibility.
Monitor digital analytics to gauge the effectiveness of online campaigns and adjust tactics as necessary.
Public Relations Support:
Develop and disseminate of press releases and media kits.
Coordinate with media outlets and manage media inquiries to enhance Globalaw's public profile.
Internal Communications:
Facilitate effective internal communications to ensure that member firms are informed about Globalaw's initiatives and achievements.
Produce regular updates and newsletters to keep the network engaged and informed.
Serve as a point of contact for member firms' marketing inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
Performance Measurement:
Track the performance of marketing and communication campaigns against defined KPIs and report on ROI.
Gather insights from marketing data to refine tactics and improve the effectiveness of future campaigns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably within a non-profit or legal environment.
A minimum of 5 years of experience planning international events.
Strong understanding of marketing principles and tactics, including digital marketing and social media strategy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce compelling content for diverse audiences.
Native or very high level of proficiency in the English language due to the need for effective communication with members, alliances, member clients, colleagues, and management.
Proficiency in using marketing software and social media platforms.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
Work Conditions:
This role involves international travels (3-4 per year) as well as international communication requirements, necessitating flexibility in working hours to accommodate different time zones.
