Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Possess strong supervisory skills and experience in fast paced manufacturing settings while meeting all of RTR and host company training requirements and safety standards.
- Provide on-the-job training and supervision to individuals in a 1:1 or group format at the L. Knife & Sons community-based business, other supportive employment sites and RTR vocational centers. Any of these sites, including SEP community sites businesses, may be equipped with surveillance cameras and you may be videotaped during your time there. - Provide written job assessments, task analysis and daily completion of L. Knife & Sons invoice form. When applicable perform daily completion of vocational center payroll sheets.
- Prepare reports in accordance with state and agency requirements.
- Work in cooperation with the Program Director and Case Worker/Manager to establish and implement vocational and behavioral objectives.
- Communicate all related worker issues to Program Director and Case Worker/Managers.
- Serve as a liaison between RTR, families, referral agencies and host companies representing a positive and pro-active attitude at all times while meeting the workflow requirements set by the company.
- Serve as an appropriate role model for individuals under supervision establishing behavioral limits in a positive consistent manner and in accordance with behavioral plans.
- Implement all behavior plan interventions as assigned. These behavioral interventions may include physical restraint.
- Provide transportation to host companies as needed.
- Adhere to all applicable procedures for each host company.
- Assist and support individuals as needed with physical direct care. May include: physical or mechanical transfer to a van, chair, toileting, etc.
- Attend all required meetings.
- Adhere to all program routines and schedules.
- Participate in on-the-job training and provide coaching to new co-workers as directed.
- Adhere to the schedules and needs of RTR, the schedules and needs of individuals under supervision and the schedules and needs of customers/host companies.
- Dress in a manner that reflects the corporate culture of the specific business in which the individual or individuals are placed.
- Adhere to agency safety standards.
- Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required.
- Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
- Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including staff and Board beliefs
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
- Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies, and other agencies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
